As soon as I decided I wanted to build a house I did a lot of research on Pinterest.
I found you could make furniture with mat board!
So even before I had a house I started making furniture (this is actually my favorite part)
I raided my daughters bead supply for the plumbing.
And then I started building. I got thick particle board for the floor and used cardbord for the walls while I figured out the floor plan
My old house had a fireplace that was in a wall separating the living room
and dining room. I liked that plan but instead of making it a wall I went with a more open floor plan and
made a cardboard model of a stone fireplace to see if I would like it.
I decided I really liked the layout.
